Di Mario’s Trattoria brings to Burlington a taste of traditional Italy. With over 25 years of restaurant experience, Chef and Owner Nicky has discovered the true soul of an Italian restaurant and replicated this feeling in the menu and décor you will find at Di Mario’s today.

Having been operational in Burlington since 2005, we at Di Mario’s offer something very unique to our loyal customers. It begins with our philosophy to use the freshest ingredients in a simple design, the food we offer at Di Mario’s reflects real Italian style. Our authentic Italian menus and a large selection of daily features offer our customers with diverse options from classic dishes to new and unique creations. Our vast selection of wines, curated by our in-house Sommelier, provides the perfect pairing for every meal. Di Mario’s is located just seconds away from the Burlington Performing Arts Theatre and just minutes away from the waterfront. Everything you could possibly hope to be near in downtown Burlington is just minutes away from our restaurant, including a 7-floor parking garage across the street.




Nicky Leonelli-Di Mario – was raised in Italy in the city of Roma. She decided to come to Toronto in 1987 where soon afterwards, she found an opportunity to open her first restaurant in Oakville in 1989. Having been successful in Oakville for 16 years she decided it was time to take on a new adventure and a new challenge which she quickly acted upon by opening Di Mario’s in downtown Burlington.

It has been over 10 years since she made the transition from Oakville to Burlington and has generated a huge following of loyal clientele that continues to support her.

She, along with her two sons Marco and Alex, work together in showing the people of Burlington their passion and love for great food and amazing wine in a harmonious environment. Her two sons take on equal responsibilities in operating the business both in the kitchen and on the dining room floor.



Executive Chef

Having grown up around the family business, Alex learned everything he needed to know in operating a successful Italian kitchen. He mastered his way through the ranks, learning the technical cooking skills and passion for great food from his mother. Over the years, Alex has developed a personal style in the kitchen that compliments the traditional Italian recipes Nicky uses with a bit of his own creative twist. Alex and Nicky now run the kitchen together, coming up with fresh ideas for our daily features.




Also following very closely in his mother’s footsteps, Marco quickly found his place in the front of the house, managing the floor and handling the wine list. As a trained and certified Sommelier, Marco’s passion for wine is a reflection of his passion for taking care of our valued and loyal customers that dine at Di Mario’s. Having handled the wine list for the past four years, Marco offers his unique wine offerings for all wine enthusiasts to enjoy.
